catastrophic failures demand action on University Hospital Limerick now<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, emergency services got a distress call at 12.54pm about a man suffering a fall on a farm in Clogher, Athlacca.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Emergency services including the air ambulance, garda\u00ed and four units of the fire brigade &#8211; two from Kilmallock and two from Limerick City fire service, all attended the scene.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mr Sheehan\u2019s family thanked all of the first responders and their neighbours who attended to Mr Sheehan after the fall.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The father-of-five in his 50\u2019s was taken from the scene by air ambulance to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries and he sadly passed away on Wednesday (December 3, 2025).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for the Health and Safety Authority said that they \u201care aware of the incident and have launched an investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr Sheehan is survived by his father John, his wife Margaret (n\u00e9e Coleman) and five children Anna, Ellie, Edmund, Cormac and Davy, as well as two brothers, four sisters and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>People who have known Mr Sheehan since primary school have described him as a well-respected member of the community, someone who helped out and volunteered and was always helpful and friendly.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He has been remembered as a hard-working farmer, a proud family man and someone who always had a smile on his face and who would always stop for a chat.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mr Sheehan will repose in Hawe-O\u2019Keeffe\u2019s Funeral Home in Charleville (P56YY15) on Saturday (December 6) from 5pm to 7pm with prayers at 4.30pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Requiem Mass will take place on Sunday at 11am in The Church of the Holy Trinity in Dromin.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>May he rest in peace.<\/p>\n<p>ADVERTISEMENT &#8211;
