The royals are out in full force this evening to enjoy Kate Middleton\u2019s annual \u201cTogether at Christmas\u201d carol service. While many members of the extended family are expected to make an appearance at Westminster Abbey for the concert, one notable face was missing from the ranks: Princess Eugenie, who for the second year in a row did not appear to be in attendance for the annual celebration.<\/p>\n

Ironically, given Eugenie\u2019s decision to skip the event, the night\u2019s theme was togetherness. Per a release ahead of the service, it was revealed that Kate had taken inspiration this year for the carol service from the idea of bringing people together. \u201cAs we approach the Christmas season, we are reminded of the power of togetherness,\u201d an official statement about the service explains, \u201cThe evening will highlight the transformative power of investing in one another with compassion, presence, and joy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The daughter of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor<\/a>, the brother of King Charles formerly known as Prince Andrew, there had been some speculation as to whether Eugenie would be in attendance tonight. Like her sister, Princess Beatrice (another royal who appears to have missed out on the carol concert)<\/a> Eugenie has maintained her hereditary title, despite Andrew\u2019s being taken away<\/a> and has continued to appear at public events in recent weeks, even receiving the public support of her uncle, the king<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Along with the removal of titles and honors from Andrew, and his ex-wife, Eugenie\u2019s mother, Sarah Ferguson, the couple have also been notified that they must relinquish their long-time home at Royal Lodge<\/a>, following another series of damaging headlines about Andrew\u2019s assocition with Jeffrey Epstein.<\/a><\/p>\n
