(Image: DURHAM COUNTY COUNCIL PLANNING PORTAL)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Submitted by Clare Johnson of Livin Housing, the artwork will be rust-brown in appearance and will not impact any new vehicular or pedestrian routes on Moulders Park, Merrington Lane.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A Fast Track Report noted: &#8216;The sculpture is small-scale and constructed in a high-quality design and material.&#8217;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8216;It will integrate visually with the modern development and enhance local character.&#8217;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Durham County Council approved the statue plans on December 4.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Two sculptures of greyhounds will mark the site of the former track, which closed in the 1990s.
