Tripping the light fantastic, like it says on the tin.<\/p>\n Share<\/a><\/p>\n Lewis Cope <\/strong>and Katya Jones<\/strong> tag-team in, throwing shapes to Me Ol\u2019 Bamboo from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.<\/p>\n This was originally written as a morris dancing number, before morphing into a vaudeville turn with walking sticks. Dick Van Dyke said the movie sequence was the most difficult dancing he ever undertook. Lewis, as suual, makes it look easy.<\/p>\n Share<\/a><\/p>\n Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon<\/strong> take centre stage now, performing to With A Little Bit Of Luck from My Fair Lady. Not to be confused with 1999 UK garage hit A Little Bit of Luck by DJ Luck & MC Neat. Holler with the rinsin\u2019 sound. No, this one\u2019s the Cockney showtune sung by Eliza\u2019s bin man dad, Alfred P Doolittle.<\/p>\n American smooth-meets-quickstep-meets Charleston vibes. Ironically, that wasn\u2019t rubbish.<\/p>\n Share<\/a><\/p>\n We kick off with George Clarke <\/strong>and Alexis Warr<\/strong>, dancing to Consider Yourself from Oliver! \u2013 sung by the Artful Dodger when he first meets Oliver Twist. Chris Ramsey and Karen Hauer foxtrotted to it in the 2019 series. Charleston moves ahoy.<\/p>\n Share<\/a>Coer blimey, guv’nor, it’s Dance Relay<\/p>\n Unusually for a live show – but it\u2019s Musicals Week, so all bets are off – we open with a razzle-dazzle group routine. This five-minute spectacular will see each pair take to the floor as part of a high-energy celebration of musicals, dancing to songs from different shows. It won\u2019t be marked by the judges but is an extra chance for them to earn viewer votes.<\/p>\n Share<\/a>Cue clap-along credits<\/p>\n We\u2019re 10 couples down and just five remain. Good evening and welcome to week 11 of Strictly Come Dancing 2025<\/strong>. I\u2019m Michael, your fellow thesp for tonight\u2019s musicals-themed quarter-final. I\u2019d love you to watch along with me as our couples perform routines inspired by West End and Broadway hits, hoping to make it through to the semi-final. They will also tackle Strictly\u2019s first ever Dance Relay<\/strong> in their bid for viewer votes.<\/p>\n Last week saw two perfect 40s from Karen Carney <\/strong>and Amber Davies<\/strong> but these were thoroughly upstaged by the first ever Instant Dance challenge<\/strong>. Our couples raided the Elstree Studios clothes rails in a panic \u2013 cue Claudia Winkleman<\/strong> wearing a fruit hat, Nikita Kuzmin<\/strong> in the world\u2019\u2019s flounciest sleeves and George Clarke<\/strong> in a red fur pimp coat \u2013 before improvising mini-routines. Bonkers and brilliant. Alex Kingston <\/strong>and Johannes Radebe<\/strong> were eliminated after defeat to dance-off destroyer Balvinder Sopal.<\/strong><\/p>\n Now just five pro-celebrity pairings<\/strong> remain in the race to become the next glitterball champion. You know the deal by now. Tonight\u2019s scores will be combined with the public vote and the bottom two will dance-off for survival on Sunday night. Balvinder is bookies\u2019 hot tip for the chop yet again but she\u2019s defied the odds five times already.
