{"id":219397,"date":"2025-12-07T01:11:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-07T01:11:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/219397\/"},"modified":"2025-12-07T01:11:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-07T01:11:08","slug":"ida-documentary-award-winners-led-by-the-tale-of-silyan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/219397\/","title":{"rendered":"IDA Documentary Award Winners Led by The Tale of Silyan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 41st annual IDA Documentary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiewire.com\/t\/awards\/\" id=\"auto-tag_awards\" data-tag=\"awards\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Awards<\/a> brunch held on December 6 at the Los Angeles Athletic Club assembled the nonfiction community to celebrate the best television and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiewire.com\/t\/film\/\" id=\"auto-tag_film\" data-tag=\"film\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">film<\/a> documentaries of 2025. <br \/>Dozens of global IDA jurors voted on more than 550 entries in all categories from 85 countries.<\/p>\n<p>The winner of Best Feature Documentary, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiewire.com\/t\/the-tale-of-silyan\/\" id=\"auto-tag_the-tale-of-silyan\" data-tag=\"the-tale-of-silyan\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Tale of Silyan<\/a>,\u201d beat out nominees \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiewire.com\/t\/apocalypse-in-the-tropics\/\" id=\"auto-tag_apocalypse-in-the-tropics\" data-tag=\"apocalypse-in-the-tropics\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Apocalypse in the Tropics<\/a>\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiewire.com\/t\/netflix\/\" id=\"auto-tag_netflix\" data-tag=\"netflix\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Netflix<\/a>), which did win two awards, for Best Writing and Best Production, \u201cLife After\u201d (Multitude Films), \u201cSongs of Slow Burning Earth\u201d (EPF Media) and \u201cSeeds,\u201d which also won Best Director for Brittany Shyne.
