According to reports, Arsenal face a \u2018significant blow\u2019 after Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard were forced off with injuries against Leeds United.<\/p>\n

Arsenal<\/strong> <\/a>made a statement on Saturday evening as they beat newly-promoted Leeds United 5-0 in their first home game of the 2025\/26 Premier League season.<\/p>\n

The Gunners were not at their best on the opening day as they edged past Manchester United, but they turned on the style against Leeds as Viktor Gyokeres and Jurrien Timber scored braces in their emphatic victory.<\/p>\n

However, it was not all positive for the north London outfit as Saka<\/strong> <\/a>and Odegaard suffered injuries and could not complete the match.<\/p>\n

Speaking post-match, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta admitted he was fearful about his two players.<\/p>\n

Arteta said:\u00a0\u201cYeah, that was the negative of the day. Martin, first off, he felt his shoulder when he landed and we don\u2019t know [the severity].<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll have to do a scan tomorrow to understand.<\/p>\n

\u201cBukayo, when he was running with the ball and wrestling with the defender, he felt something in his hamstring so let\u2019s see.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s the other hamstring, not the same one that he had his previous injury.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked if he could provide more details on the injuries to Odegaard and Saka, Arteta replied: \u201cI don\u2019t know, obviously I haven\u2019t spoken to the doctor yet. But for Bukayo to come off\u2026 for sure, it looks like something that is significant.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is worrying for Arsenal as their next Premier League is against title rivals Liverpool at Anfield.<\/p>\n

A report from The Times points out<\/a> that it would be a \u2018significant blow\u2019 if Arsenal are without Saka and Odegaard for the Liverpool match, though they have been given a \u2018boost\u2019.<\/p>\n

It is claimed that Saka\u2019s injury is \u2018not as bad as first feared\u2019, while the \u2018early indications\u2019\u00a0 show that Odeagrd will \u2018also avoid an extended absence\u2019.<\/p>\n

This news emerged after each player had a \u2018scan on Sunday\u2019, though\u00a0\u2018it is unclear whether they will miss the Liverpool fixture\u2019.<\/p>\n

A follow-up report from BBC Sport claims Saka is expected to be out for around four weeks.<\/p>\n

\u2018The 23-year-old went off with a hamstring injury in Saturday\u2019s home win against Leeds United and it is estimated the forward will be unavailable for up to four weeks.<\/p>\n

\u2018Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard is doubtful for the match at Anfield as a result of a shoulder injury suffered in the victory against Leeds.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
