Fiona Phillips’ <\/a>husband Martin Frizell has shared a heartwarming update on the former GMTV host amid her Alzheimer’s diagnosis. The presenter, 64, was diagnosed with the progressive brain disorder in 2022.<\/p>\n Since then, former This Morning<\/a> boss Martin has been by her side caring for her. <\/a>He has continued to share updates on Fiona<\/a> and last month the couple released Fiona’s book Remember When: My Life With Alzheimer’s.<\/p>\n Now, Martin has celebrated a huge achievement as their book is sitting at number four on the prestigious Sunday Times Bestsellers’ List. He took the time to share an update with his followers and revealed how Fiona is.<\/p>\n READ MORE: This Morning’s Martin Frizell says Schofield scandal ‘helped’ amid Fiona’s Alzheimer’s<\/a>READ MORE: Ruth Langsford breaks silence on support from son Jack after ‘really hard’ family ordeal<\/a> “She wants to say a massive thank you to everyone who has shown interest in her story, it\u2019s really lifted her mood,” Martin said. “Can I also thank the many folk who have been in touch with their own stories.”<\/p>\n Martin shared a photo of Fiona beaming at the camera as he explained his choice: “I attach my favourite picture of her from a tv location shoot and shows what a force of life and vitality she had.”<\/p>\n He added that the pair often sit together to look through their photo albums while listening to The Police. Earlier this month, Martin gave an emotional update on Fiona’s condition in a chat with the Loose Women<\/a>.<\/p>\n “The good news is that there’s some improvement in terms of her mood,” Martin said. “Not so much in terms of Alzheimer’s but in terms of being able to have get better sleep, and better appetite.”<\/p>\n Martin then went on to say that his wife has “less confusion” after the new anti-depressant she’s been given.<\/p>\n “If anything, she’s in a much better place than she was a few weeks ago,” he continued. However, he revealed that his wife becomes frustrated while watching TV, now she’s unable to do the on screen work she perfected and loved for decades.<\/p>\n “Fiona’s main problem with her Alzheimer’s right now is her frustration,” he said. “She’ll watch telly and she’ll get frustrated that she’s not working.<\/p>\n “She’ll get anxious or frightened thinking about it. This was a fearless women. She spent decades doing this.
