Other impacted communities included Mountcollins, Meenkilla, Abbeyfeale, Templeglantine and Meenoline.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"449\" data-end=\"886\">At the November meeting of the Newcastle West Municipal District, Cllr Liam Galvin criticised Uisce \u00c9ireann for what he described as \u201cabsolutely dire\u201d communication during the crisis. \u201cWe were never notified as public representatives about what caused the problem or when it would be fixed. The text alert system told people the water was out but never when it might come back,\u201d he said, adding that he was inundated with calls for days.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"888\" data-end=\"1116\">Cllr Michael Collins branded the utility \u201canother faceless body,\u201d and questioned why staff still operate in council-branded vans.
