{"id":223509,"date":"2025-12-09T10:31:14","date_gmt":"2025-12-09T10:31:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/223509\/"},"modified":"2025-12-09T10:31:14","modified_gmt":"2025-12-09T10:31:14","slug":"maison-margiela-unveils-first-residential-project-in-dubai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/223509\/","title":{"rendered":"Maison Margiela unveils first residential project in Dubai"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"852\" height=\"479\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Dubai_Maison_Margelia_hero-852x479.jpg\" class=\"attachment-article_large_image size-article_large_image nolazy\" alt=\"Exterior of Dubai residential building\" decoding=\"async\"  data-pin-nopin=\"true\"\/>\t\t    <\/p>\n<p>Fashion house <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/tag\/maison-martin-margiela\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Maison Margiela<\/a> has announced the launch of its first residential project, shown in this reel created for the brand by Dezeen.<\/p>\n<p>The French luxury <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/tag\/fashion-tag\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">fashion<\/a> label unveiled plans for a luxury living complex in Dubai earlier this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Video renders show plans for the development<\/p>\n<p>The label has explored design and interiors in previous years, such as in a previous <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2014\/05\/21\/maison-martin-margiela-launches-first-wallpaper-collections-for-omexco\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">collaboration with wallpaper brand Omexco<\/a>. The house also previously designed the interiors of a custom suite in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elledecoration.co.uk\/travel\/a30674544\/les-sources-de-caudalie-lile-au-oiseaux-suite-rabih-kayrouz\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Les Sources de Caudalie hotel<\/a> near Bordeaux.<\/p>\n<p>However, this project marks its first venture into residential housing. Developed in partnership with the <a href=\"https:\/\/altadevelopment.ae\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alta Real Estate Development<\/a>, the project is located in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/tag\/dubai\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dubai&#8217;s<\/a> Palm Jumeirah archipelago.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2274394 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/MM_Launch-Assets_v1-07-1-852x1065.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1892\" height=\"2364\"  \/>Interiors reflect the white and gold colour palette<\/p>\n<p>The development comprises 25 bespoke residential units designed by Maison Margiela, which make use of materials like travertine and white resin.<\/p>\n<p>Gold detailing was used to contrast with the largely white exterior.<\/p>\n<p>The interiors of the house were designed to continue the palette of the exteriors, with a minimalist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/tag\/furniture\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">furniture<\/a> collection created by Italian architect Carlo Colombo furnishing the space.<\/p>\n<p>Colombo&#8217;s collection encompasses items ranging from lamps to beds, tables and seating.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2021\/02\/21\/maison-margiela-bruton-street-studio-anne-holtrop-interior\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"191\" height=\"191\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/maison-margiela-london-bruton-store-interior_dezeen_2364_sq-191x191.jpg\" class=\"excludeLightbox wp-post-image\" alt=\"Interior of Maison Margiela's London Bruton Street store by Studio Anne Holtrop\" decoding=\"async\" data-pin-nopin=\"true\"  \/><\/p>\n<p> Studio Anne Holtrop creates gypsum walls that look like fabric for Maison Margiela store\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The development is set to open in March 2028.<\/p>\n<p>The residence coincides with the opening of a new Maison Margelia Cafe in the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, part of the brand&#8217;s wider expansion in the region.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Partnership content<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This article was written by Dezeen for <a href=\"https:\/\/altadevelopment.ae\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alta Real Estate Development<\/a> as part of a partnership.
