Foreign Vlogger Viral Video:<\/strong>\u00a0What was supposed to be a fun night out at the Post Malone concert in Guwahati turned into a deeply upsetting experience for a tourist. Travel vlogger Emma, who has been backpacking across Southeast Asia, shared a video on Instagram describing what she and her friend Amina went through in the crowd and her post has now sparked a huge conversation online. “Do you think concerts are a safe place for women in India?” This was the question Emma asked while opening up about the incident.<\/p>\n

She further wrote, \u201cLast night at the Post Malone concert in Guwahati, things turned serious very quickly. As two women in the crowd, both me and Amina were touched without consent within minutes of entering the packed area.” Emma explained that the crowd became uncomfortable far too quickly. Within 10 minutes, the two friends decided to get out of the tightly packed space and move toward the vendors\u2019 section.<\/p>\n

“This isn\u2019t \u2018normal crowd pushing\u2019\u2026” She added that the incident completely ruined the concert for them. “Sadly, because of what happened, we were no longer able to enjoy the concert. This isn\u2019t \u2018normal crowd pushing\u2019. It\u2019s part of a wider issue of violence against women and the way harassment is minimised in public spaces. No concert, no matter how big, should make women choose between enjoying the music and guarding their bodies.”<\/p>\n

Emma made it clear that this shouldn\u2019t reflect the entire city. She wrote, “Throughout our time here, we\u2019ve experienced so much kindness, warmth, and genuine hospitality. We met countless people last night who were lovely, respectful, and excited to share the moment.” In her final note, Emma wrote, \u201cWomen deserve to feel safe. Not just at concerts, but everywhere.\u201d Amina added her own disappointment: \u201cWe came for Post Malone. I did not expect that level of harassment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Their video quickly spread across social media, with hundreds of users expressing shock, anger, and apologising to the women for what they faced. “Why do men think when they see a girl, that they are free to do whatever they want. I\u2019m sorry for you girls,” a user wrote. “As someone from this place, I feel deeply ashamed that you went through this. You deserved joy, not fear. I hope you still carry some good memories of our people,” a second user wrote.<\/p>\n

“I feel deeply ashamed to see this. As a girl from Guwahati and someone who has grown up here, I\u2019ve actually started avoiding concerts for exactly this reason, the complete lack of civic sense and basic etiquette,” wrote a third user. “100% deserved. You went her to record this content, you knew it would be like this, try making videos about the good of India instead of every other foreigner,” added another user.<\/p>\n
