{"id":226872,"date":"2025-12-11T05:58:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-11T05:58:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/226872\/"},"modified":"2025-12-11T05:58:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-11T05:58:08","slug":"flood-warnings-for-shropshire-rivers-following-heavy-rain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/226872\/","title":{"rendered":"Flood warnings for Shropshire rivers following heavy rain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 eZyhnA\">Rising river levels following heavy rain have led to flood warnings and the closure of a car park in Shropshire.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 eZyhnA\">Shropshire Council said Frankwell car park in Shrewsbury would be shut overnight and confirmed water company Severn Trent was deploying a pump at the Coleham gyratory.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 eZyhnA\">The Environment Agency has issued a flood warning for the River Severn at the Showground and The Quarry in Shrewsbury.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 eZyhnA\">Flooding is expected overnight from 21:00 GMT, which may affect offices at the showground and on Gravel Hill Lane, the agency&#8217;s warning said.
