{"id":2271,"date":"2025-08-16T11:00:12","date_gmt":"2025-08-16T11:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/2271\/"},"modified":"2025-08-16T11:00:12","modified_gmt":"2025-08-16T11:00:12","slug":"temperatures-of-up-to-27-degrees-on-saturday-but-oasis-fans-may-have-showers-to-contend-with-the-irish-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/2271\/","title":{"rendered":"Temperatures of up to 27 degrees on Saturday but Oasis fans may have showers to contend with \u2013 The Irish Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The sun will shine this weekend, to quote the band of the moment, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/oasis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/oasis\/\">Oasis<\/a>, with lots of hot and humid <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/weather-events\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/weather-events\/\">weather<\/a> across the country. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Temperatures on Saturday will reach between 25 and 27 degrees in inland areas and in the midwest, setting up thunderstorms in the evening along the west coast. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">It will feel milder along the south and east coasts with sea breezes keeping the temperature between 20 and 22 degrees. For those going to see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/culture\/music\/2025\/08\/13\/some-might-say-the-big-oasis-payday-is-here-gallagher-brothers-and-dublin-city-set-for-a-bonanza\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/culture\/music\/2025\/08\/13\/some-might-say-the-big-oasis-payday-is-here-gallagher-brothers-and-dublin-city-set-for-a-bonanza\/\">Oasis in Croke Park<\/a> on Saturday and Sunday night, there is a slight chance of showers.  However, overall  they will be balmy summer evenings with temperatures at 20 degrees on Saturday night. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Sunday will be notably cooler in Dublin, but it will still be between 17 and 18 degrees come concert time. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Met \u00c9ireann forecaster Brandon Creagh said it is unlikely the present weather will meet the definition of a heatwave, which needs five straight days of temperatures above 25 degrees. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Sunday will be a similar day to Saturday elsewhere, with the highest temperatures in the western half of the country. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"Maikel, Xary, Cateto and Jony from Spain listen to live lunchtime music from the bandstand in Dublin's St Stephens Green on Friday. Photograph: Alan Betson <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The longer-term forecast is for another warm, humid Monday , with showers, some  thundery, in Munster and Connacht. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday next week will see a lot of dry weather with sunny spells and showers.
