\n\t50 Cent<\/a> was heavily involved as a producer on Netflix\u2019s Sean Combs: The Reckoning.<\/a> The G-Unit mogul was in contact with numerous individuals in preparation for the docuseries, including Diddy\u2019s<\/a> ex, Cassie Ventura.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\t50 graced the cover of Us Weekly<\/a> on Tuesday (Dec. 9), which saw him dish on all things Diddy and The Reckoning.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI think she\u2019s going to understand it,\u201d 50 said when asked what Cassie would think about the doc.\u00a0\u201cIt was important [that I] spoke to her to understand how things transpired.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Queens, N.Y., legend also spoke with Cassie\u2019s husband, Alex Fine. \u201c[I had] conversations with her and her husband,\u201d he added. \u201c[We had] separate, individual communication. When you hear things multiple times from different people, it rings true.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAttorneys for Diddy filed a cease-and-desist<\/a> calling for Netflix to shelf the \u201cshameful hit piece\u201d four-part docuseries, which amassed 21.8 million views in its opening week on the streaming giant, according to Deadline<\/a>. Netflix denied the claims from Combs\u2019 team.<\/p>\n

\n\tCassie lit the fuse on Diddy\u2019s downfall when she filed a bombshell lawsuit<\/a> in 2023,<\/a> accusing Combs of rape, assault and years of physical abuse. The suit was settled less than two days later, but it was just the tip of the iceberg for lawsuits and eventual federal charges for Diddy.<\/p>\n

\n\tCassie\u2019s relationship with the disgraced mogul was at the center of an episode of The Reckoning, showing a pattern of abuse and narcissism at the center of his empire. She was also a prominent figure in the freak-offs Diddy would allegedly control with male escorts.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe \u201cMe+U\u201d singer split from Diddy for good in 2018 after about a decade of on-and-off dating. She married fitness entrepreneur Fine in 2019, and the couple has three children together.<\/p>\n

\n\t50 Cent told ABC News<\/a> on Dec. 1 that he believes Cassie is a victim who was caught up in Diddy\u2019s dark world of chaos. \u201cI believe Cassie\u2019s a victim in all of this. She came in at like 18 or 19 years old in the very beginning. After a while, you\u2019re conditioned for it,\u201d he said. \u201cIf I didn\u2019t say anything, you would interpret it as hip-hop is fine with [Diddy\u2019s] behavior.\u201d<\/p>\n
