{"id":230007,"date":"2025-12-12T23:39:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-12T23:39:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/230007\/"},"modified":"2025-12-12T23:39:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-12T23:39:08","slug":"teenage-motorcyclist-airlifted-to-cork-hospital-after-serious-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/230007\/","title":{"rendered":"Teenage motorcyclist airlifted to Cork hospital after serious crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A teenage motorcyclist was airlifted to Cork University Hospital after a serious crash in Co Kerry.<\/p>\n<p>The crash, which involved a motorcycle and three other vehicles, occurred on the N22 at Lissivigeen on Friday at approximately 4pm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Garda\u00ed and emergency services responded to the incident, following which the young man was brought by air ambulance to CUH with life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">No other injuries have been reported at this time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&#8220;The road has been closed to allow for a technical examination of the scene to be conducted by garda forensic collision investigators,&#8221; said a garda spokesperson.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"> Garda\u00ed are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"> Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N22 in the Lissivigeen area between 3.45pm and 4.15pm are asked to make it available to investigating garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"> Anyone with information is asked to contact Killarney Garda Station on 064 667 1160, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"> Investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A teenage motorcyclist was airlifted to Cork University Hospital after a serious crash in Co Kerry.
