Thursday night\u2019s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/a> marked a sea change for Kyle Richards: she acknowledged that she\u2019d been in a relationship after separating from Maurico Umansky<\/a>. Richards said she fell in love with \u201ca person\u201d who didn\u2019t want to be in the public eye. Eventually the media speculation pushed them apart, according to Richards. \u201cWhen I\u2019m in love with somebody, I want to share that. I\u2019m an open person like that,\u201d she said. \u201cThat doesn\u2019t mean the person I\u2019m with feels the same way. All the speculation and the gossip and the talking is ultimately what ended it. I could\u2019ve weathered the storm, but this is not for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n But who is this mystery person? Who on earth could it possibly be? Bravoholics reckon it\u2019s country star Morgan Wade, to whom paps linked Richards back in 2023<\/a>. At the time, Wade and Richards said they were \u201cjust friends.\u201d Then they did a makeout fakeout in Wade\u2019s music video. Then Wade deleted all her pictures with Richards of IG. So how friendly did they really get, and are we being nosy little busybodies for trying to put the pieces together retroactively? Let\u2019s unpack.<\/p>\n February 16, 2022: <\/strong>Kyle Richards posts her first irl hang with Morgan Wade. Richards says she stalked Wade on Instagram after listening to her music during a long drive. \u201ctoday we met up in person for the 1st time,\u201d she wrote. \u201cThe most unlikely of friendships some may think but kinship knows no boundaries \ud83d\udc9e\u201d<\/p>\n\n September 15, 2022: <\/strong>Richards attends the 2022 Americana Music Honors & Awards as Wade\u2019s guest. Per Page Six<\/a>, it\u2019s a month after Wade broke up with Kady Cannon. Cannon said \u201cThe only people who can speak on Morgan and Kyle\u2019s relationship or friendship or whatever you wanna call it \u2014 and to whatever degree that is \u2014 are Morgan and Kyle, and that\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n January 25, 2023:<\/strong> Wade posts a pic of her sitting in Richards\u2019 lap on a private jet to IG. This will become the lede image<\/a> of every story about them from now until the heat death of the universe, despite the original post eventually getting deleted by Wade.<\/p>\n July 2023: <\/strong>Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky announce that they are separating, but say \u201cAny claims regarding divorcing are untrue.\u201d Rather, they\u2019ve just \u201chad a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage.\u201d<\/p>\n\n That same month, fans notice<\/a> that Wade and Richards appear to have matching tattoos and silver rings.<\/p>\n August 10, 2023: <\/strong>Morgan Wade releases the \u201cFall in Love With Me\u201d music video, in which Wade plays Richards\u2019 dream girl. They almost kiss, but not quite. The framing at the time is that they are poking fun at the tabloid speculation. \u201cWe\u2019re friends,\u201d Wade\u00a0told\u00a0People<\/a>. \u201cThe internet\u2019s a dumb place.\u201d<\/p>\n December 6, 2023:<\/strong> On WWHL<\/a>, Dorit Kemsley says that Wade\u2019s friendship with Richards has gotten in the way of Kyle\u2019s other relationships. \u201cI feel like the closer she got to Morgan the further she got from me,\u201d she told Andy Cohen.<\/p>\n November 2024: <\/strong>Wade makes her debut on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Richards gives her a tattoo, inking a little K on her arm. \u201cYou know what, no one else can say they\u2019ve been tattooed by Kyle Richards,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n January 10, 2024: <\/strong>In an ep of RHOBH<\/a>, Richards asks her fellow Housewives if they\u2019d ever date a woman. Dorit Kemsley does a spit take. <\/strong><\/p>\n February 2024: <\/strong>Wade deletes all her Instagram pictures, except a few promoting upcoming dates she has to perform. Fans speculate something went askew with Richards, but Kyle says it\u2019s just promo. \u201c[She\u2019s got new music] coming out,\u201d Richards told Page Six<\/a>.\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s very common for artists to do that. That didn\u2019t mean anything.\u201d<\/p>\n April 8, 2025: <\/strong>During the season 14 Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion, Andy Cohen addresses \u201cshe who cannot be named,\u201d ie: Wade. For the entire season, Richards had refrained from even saying said her former bestie\u2019s name, despite Wade appearing on the previous season. \u201cI brought her into this,\u201d Richards said of Wade. \u201cAnd I feel guilty about that because it causes her anxiety, and she doesn\u2019t wanna be part of that.\u201d<\/p>\n December 11, 2025: <\/strong>In the second episode of RHOBH season 15, Richards comes clean about her previous relationship with a \u201cperson\u201d she won\u2019t further identify. \u201cI was in a relationship. I was in a very vulnerable place in my life and I fell hard for this person,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m in love with somebody, I want to share that. I don\u2019t care, I\u2019m an open person like that.
