I am hoping things improve in the next couple of days so he\u2019s available for Sunday.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>How did Curtis Jones play vs Newcastle?<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, with Dominik Szoboszlai shunted to right-back, it was Curtis Jones who replaced Mac Allister in the Liverpool midfield at Newcastle.<\/p>\n<p>On the whole, Jones did okay, but there is still a feeling that the Reds are much more open when he starts in the middle. Monday\u2019s game will not dampen those perceptions.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, Jones always backs himself, and if Mac Allister is not ready for Sunday, then he will be determined to make a difference,<\/p>\n<p>With an international break following the Arsenal match, Slot will be desperately hoping that Mac Allister is not having to travel to play for Argentina.<\/p>\n<p>If he\u2019s able to have a little break, hopefully he can be back to face Burnley.
