Inflows of personal transfers to EU resident households totalled \u20ac14.8 billion, up by 7% compared with 2023 (\u20ac13.8 billion).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph\">In the last 5 years, a substantial growth in outflows of personal transfers has been observed. Outflows have surged by 51%, while inflows have grown more modestly, increasing by 26%. As a result, there has been a widening negative balance for the EU vis-\u00e0-vis non-EU countries, reaching \u20ac37.3 billion in 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph\">This information comes from <a class=\"ecl-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/databrowser\/bookmark\/6543b1b3-dc5f-4aeb-9fe3-f83c1d9b40ad?lang=en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">data<\/a> published by Eurostat today.
