{"id":235425,"date":"2025-12-16T08:41:07","date_gmt":"2025-12-16T08:41:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/235425\/"},"modified":"2025-12-16T08:41:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-16T08:41:07","slug":"arn-backflips-on-lowie-for-brisbane-breakfast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/235425\/","title":{"rendered":"ARN backflips on Lowie for Brisbane breakfast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After axing its KIIS Brisbane breakfast team in favour of Craig \u2018Lowie\u2019 Low for 2026, ARN has reversed that decision, announcing that Robin, Kip and Corey will be returning to the breakfast slot next year after all.<\/p>\n<p>Low will now host a nightly show from 9pm across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth.<\/p>\n<p>A press release from ARN claims this comes \u201cafter feedback from Brisbane listeners\u201d, noting the breakfast team\u2019s popularity has been \u201creinforced by strong audience engagement and recent survey results\u201d. It paints it as a win for Low, too, who is being given \u201ca national platform to connect with listeners across multiple major markets.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This about-turn <a href=\"https:\/\/mumbrella.com.au\/dave-cameron-and-kerri-elstub-join-arn-910368\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">follows Monday\u2019s announcement<\/a> that Nine veteran Kerri Elstub will become chief content officer at ARN, while Dave Cameron will join as director of content for ARN\u2019s metro radio stations. ARN\u2019s chief audience and content officer Lauren Joyce <a href=\"https:\/\/mumbrella.com.au\/lauren-joyce-out-at-arn-908910\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">was made redundant<\/a> in late November.<\/p>\n<p>ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>Robin Bailey, Kip Wightman and Corey Oates pulled 11.2% of the breakfast audience in the most recent radio survey, placing them fourth in their timeslot, behind Nova, Triple M, and B105.<\/p>\n<p>Bailey blasted ARN after the trio were initially axed, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DQRDnXBAQvM\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">saying<\/a> \u201cour industry care more about money than connection.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Derek \u2018DB\u2019 Bargwanna, head of KIIS, said: \u201cBrisbane listeners were clear about what they wanted, and we listened. Robin, Kip &amp; Corey have a strong connection with this city, and the way things wrapped up meant the door was always open for us to reunite.
