A large handful of classic movies \u2014 including 2002\u2019s Spider-Man<\/a><\/strong>, Christopher Nolan\u2019s Following, 1939\u2019s The Wizard of Oz \u2014 and many more are being rereleased in Regal<\/a> movie theaters this January.<\/p>\n

Regal has announced a new Back to the Beginning movie program launching in January 2026. It presents a \u201ccurated film series featuring origin stories and famous firsts, across the 31 days of January to celebrate the month of fresh starts.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brooks LeBoeuf, Senior Vice President of US Content at Regal, said in a statement, \u201cRepertory films in the\u00a0Back to the Beginning\u00a0program introduce iconic characters from widely popular movie franchises and represent the early creative vision of some internationally acclaimed filmmakers. From action flicks to heroic tales to fantasy epics to gritty crime dramas, the\u00a0Beginning\u00a0series brings what were once unknown adventures and unfamiliar creators back to the big screen.\u201d<\/p>\n

What movies besides Spider-Man and Following are being rereleased in January?<\/p>\n

The program\u2019s first week is titled \u201cHeroes Assemble.\u201d It includes 2014\u2019s John Wick on January 1, 2002\u2019s Spider-Man on January 2, 2005\u2019s Batman Begins<\/a> on January 3, 1978\u2019s Superman on January 4, 1984\u2019s Ghostbusters on January 5, 1996\u2019s Mission: Impossible on\u00a0 January 6, and 1982\u2019s Conan the Barbarian on January 7.<\/p>\n

The second week, titled \u201cThere and Back Again,\u201d includes 2016\u2019s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them on January 8, 2012\u2019s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey on January 9, 2013\u2019s The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug on January 10, 2014\u2019s The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies on January 11, 1939\u2019s The Wizard of Oz on January 12, 2017\u2019s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword on January 13, and 1984\u2019s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom on January 14.<\/p>\n

The third week is called \u201cFrom the Director\u2019s Chair \u2013 Day One.\u201d It features 2005\u2019s Brick on January 15, 1992\u2019s Reservoir Dogs on January 16, 1998\u2019s Following on January 17, 1974\u2019s The Sugarland Express on January 18, 2017\u2019s Get Out on January 19, 1985\u2019s Pee Wee\u2019s Big Adventure on January 20, and 2017\u2019s Lady Bird on January 21.<\/p>\n

\u201cWords in Chaos\u201d is the title for the fourth week, which includes 2024\u2019s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga on January 22, 2000\u2019s Gladiator on January 23, 2021\u2019s Dune on January 24, 1999\u2019s The Matrix on January 25, 2018\u2019s A Quiet Place on January 26, 2023\u2019s The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes on January 27, and 1982\u2019s Blade Runner: The Final Cut on January 28.<\/p>\n

Lastly, the fifth and final week, \u201cRise of the Mob,\u201d features 2021\u2019s The Many Saints of Newark on January 20, 1973\u2019s Mean Streets on January 30, and 1974\u2019s The Godfather Part II on January 31.<\/p>\n
