Chris Hemsworth opened up about his marriage to Elsa Pataky during the Monday, Dec. 15 episode of On Purpose with Jay Shetty<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
“We have no excuse as far as how much time we can make for each other due to the support we can get due to our situation,” Hemsworth said of making time to prioritize his relationship<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

Chris Hemsworth<\/a> is sharing insights into his nearly 15 years of marriage with wife Elsa Pataky<\/a>.<\/p>\n Hemsworth, 42, appeared on the Monday, Dec. 15 episode of the On Purpose with Jay Shetty<\/a> podcast, where the Furiosa: A Mad Max Story star identified “having fun” as one of the primary keys to his relationship with Pataky, 49, whom he married<\/a> over the Christmas holiday in 2010.<\/p>\n “Both having a sort of adventurous spirit, making time for one another. I think the complicated times have been when it’s been all work, all kids, and all of a sudden the ‘us’ in the relationship is sort of non-existent,” he said. “You’re just kind of managing a household or the work-family schedule. Elsa will be off at work, and I’ll be off at work and then it’s chaos with kid time, and so sort of removing ourselves from all of that and just having time for the two of us and making space for each other rather than the rest of the world that can be so all-consuming.”<\/p>\n Hemsworth and Pataky met in 2010<\/a>\u00a0and married that same year; the actor couple\u00a0share three children<\/a>, including daughter India, 13, as well as twins Sasha and Tristan, 11.<\/p>\n When podcast host Jay Shetty<\/a> remarked that it “must be so hard” for Hemsworth and Pataky to find time for each other, given their busy lives as actors, the Avengers star waved off the question and said, “I think it’s hard for anyone, really. It’s all relative. The actor noted that he and Pataky feel their relationship is at its strongest “when there’s humor involved, when there’s adventure, when there’s curiosity, when there’s openness to kind of make a fool of yourself and self-deprecation and all that.”<\/p>\n “There’s always that spark and that attraction, but what it comes down to is friendship and companionship at the end. The moment you run out of things to talk about, you lack that curiosity and interest in one another, that’s when it’s concerning,” he said.
