A singer has been killed in a house fire<\/a>, leaving her partner and their kids ‘with nothing’. Tributes have been paid to talented Dearbhla Murray who was aged in her 40s and died in a weekend blaze in Dunmurry, Belfast.<\/p>\n

A fundraiser set up for the family has so far raised more than \u00a313,000. Dearbhla died at her Areema Drive home when a blaze broke out in the early hours of Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

The talented singer was known throughout West Belfast <\/a>for performing at charity gigs. She was one of four people to tragically lose their lives in house fires across Northern Ireland over the weekend, reports BelfastLive<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Posting on the GoFundMe page, Aisling Harper, who set up the fundraiser<\/a>, said: “This devastating incident resulted in the loss of their mummy and wife as well as all of their belongings, clothes, and valuables, leaving the family with nothing.<\/p>\n

“Their daddy is currently receiving treatment in hospital, and as he will need time to process and deal with this heartbreaking situation, this fundraiser aims to provide some financial support to help cover basic necessities.<\/p>\n

“Our thoughts are with the family at this incredibly sad and difficult time.”<\/p>\n

Posting on Facebook<\/a>, local bar The Suffolk Inn said: “Our beautiful Dearbhla will be missed sadly by staff and customers of the bar, the nicest more sincere woman with the biggest heart.”<\/p>\n

Sinn F\u00e9in MP Paul Maskey expressed his condolences following her death.<\/p>\n

The West Belfast MP said: \u201cThis is such tragic news and my heartfelt thoughts and condolences go out to the woman\u2019s family and friends.”<\/p>\n

Mr Maskey added that he and Cllr S\u00e9anna Walsh had visited the scene over the weekend and spoke to residents who were “understandably shocked and distressed.”<\/p>\n
