Mogla\u00ed Bap has been running 10km in each city the band is touring to raise funds for Gaza. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">\u201cNaoise started doing these runs last year to support a project that we started in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/gaza-strip\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/gaza-strip\/\">Gaza<\/a> in response to the genocide,\u201d said Ainle, speaking before the event. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">As founder and director of ACLA\u00cd Palestine \u2013 a community gym in the West Bank \u2013 Ainle visited the Aida refugee camp, near Bethlehem in August and plans to return in January.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph b-it-article-body__interstitial-link\">[\u00a0<a aria-label=\"Open related story\" class=\"c-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/culture\/music\/review\/2025\/12\/16\/kneecap-at-3arena-a-rambunctious-and-humorous-set-with-heartfelt-moments\/\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kneecap at 3Arena: A rambunctious and humorous set with heartfelt momentsOpens in new window<\/a>\u00a0]<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">He is involved in the Gaza food and play project, which delivers food parcels and circus workshops to displaced families in the region. Funds raised through Wednesday\u2019s run are set to go towards the project.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">\u201cWhen the occupation restricted all goods coming in, the food was just impossible to get so we diverted the project a bit to circus and cultural workshops for kids that were displaced around different parts of the strip,\u201d Ainle said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Runners donning jerseys for Palestine and waving flags started to gather at 1pm outside Des Kelly\u2019s Interiors in Glasnevin, in anticipation of Mogla\u00ed Bap\u2019s arrival.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"President Catherine Connolly outside the &#xC1;ras to greet M&#xF3;gla&#xED; Bap of Kneecap who led a charity run through the Phoenix Park. Photograph: Brian Lawless\/PA Wire <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The location is a short distance from Dalymount Park where the Bohemian Football Club are preparing to facilitate Swedish activist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/greta-thunberg\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/greta-thunberg\/\">Greta Thunberg<\/a> on Thursday as part of \u201can evening of words and songs for Gaza\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Thunberg was also due to visit \u00c1ras an Uachtar\u00e1in to meet  President Connolly on Wednesday afternoon, which was closed to the media. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The Bohemian Cooperatives, the club\u2019s climate justice initiative and host of the event, confirmed that more than 800 tickets have already been sold for Thursday\u2019s event. Musical guests will include R\u00f3is\u00edn El Cherif, Sorcha Richardson and Kevin Corcoran, with further artists set to be announced.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">M\u00e9decins Sans Fronti\u00e8res deputy medical co-ordinator for Palestine, Dr Mohammed Abu Mughessib, will join Thunberg in conversation with Irish human rights campaigner Caoimhe Butterly to reflect on the recent flotillas to Gaza. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Thunberg has been frequently seen sporting Bohemians merchandise this year, having been given the team\u2019s recognisable limited edition jersey \u2013 a collaboration with Fontaines DC \u2013 by Butterly on a flotilla in June. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">She met runners outside Bang Bang cafe in Phibsborough, founded by Kneecap manager and Bohs\u2019 chief operating officer Daniel Lambert, on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">As participants warmed up for their run to the \u00c1ras and back, Lambert arrived alongside Mogla\u00ed Bap.
