Brad Pitt scored a major victory in his ongoing legal battle <\/a>with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie\u00a0over their French winery, Ch\u00e2teau Miravel.<\/p>\n

A judge ruled in the \u201cF1\u201d star\u2019s favor for the actress to turn over private emails and text message <\/a>threads regarding the sale of her portion of the vineyard \u2014 which they purchased when they were married, according to court documents obtained by Page Six on Thursday.<\/p>\n

An insider told Page Six that the \u201cemails would prove Jolie has been disingenuous since the start regarding her true intentions about selling her share of the business.\u201d <\/p>\n

According to court documents obtained by Page Six on Thursday, a judge ruled in the actor\u2019s favor for his ex to submit private communications about the sale of her portion of the Ch\u00e2teau Miravel. Getty Images<\/p>\n

Jolie, 50, has 45 days to turn over the communications.<\/p>\n

The \u201cMaria\u201d star\u2019s lawyer, Paul Murphy, told Page Six that they were \u201cdisappointed by the court\u2019s interpretation of California\u2019s privilege law.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cThe court\u2019s ruling violates that law, undermines Ms. Jolie\u2019s fundamental right to a fair trial, and represents yet another manifestation of Mr. Pitt\u2019s years-long effort to harass and control her. We will appeal,\u201d the attorney said.<\/p>\n

The recent filing is a part of Pitt\u2019s lawsuit against his ex for allegedly illegally selling her share of the vineyard<\/a> to the Stoli Group\u00a0in 2021.<\/p>\n

In the February filing, the \u201cTroy\u201d actor, 62, alleged that he and Jolie, who purchased the property in 2008 \u00a0for $28.4 million, agreed not to sell their shares without consulting each other.<\/p>\n

The exes allegedly had an agreement that they wouldn\u2019t sell their shares unless they consulted with each other. GC Images<\/p>\n

The exes, who married in 2014 and split in 2019, allegedly planned to raise their kids <\/a>at the vineyard and build a family business. <\/p>\n

Then, in October, Pitt requested Jolie submit communications with her business manager, Terry Bird,\u00a0Chloe Dalton\u00a0and\u00a0Arminka Helic, her publicists, and two financial consultants.<\/p>\n

In the filing, the actor alleged that the \u201cMaleficent\u201d star communicated with Bird about her personal and professional life, including litigation. <\/p>\n

\u201c[Jolie admitted] Bird \u2018helped [her] identify additional issues on which to seek advice,\u2019\u201d the docs read. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhat Jolie is describing here are brainstorming sessions between non-lawyers,\u201d the filing continues. \u201cThe fact that these brainstorming sessions may have followed or preceded advice from a lawyer on the same general topic or a related topic does not shield them from discovery.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pitt allegedly believes that Jolie\u2019s communications with Bird regarding the \u201cterms of sale\u201d to the Stoli Group\u00a0in 2021 are \u201cthe key transaction at issue in this litigation.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201c[Jolie] has still produced only one internal email that even mentions the terms of the sale at the center of this case,\u201d the \u201cFight Club\u201d star stated.<\/p>\n

Jolie\u2019s lawyer, Paul Murphy, told Page Six that they were \u201cdisappointed by the court\u2019s interpretation of California\u2019s privilege law.\u201d WireImage<\/p>\n

Pitt initially sued his \u201cMr. & Mrs. Smith\u201d co-star earlier this year. Samir Hussein\/WireImage<\/p>\n

Jolie, however, previously insisted that she didn\u2019t have to submit the emails and text messages because they involved her discussion about legal matters with others.<\/p>\n

At the time, the \u201cGirl, Interrupted\u201d star responded to the filing and accused Pitt of \u201cinvading\u201d his client\u2019s \u201cprivileged communications with her lawyers.\u201d<\/p>\n
