Before the four interconnected films\u2014one from each band member\u2019s point of view\u2014hit the big screen in April 2028, here\u2019s a full breakdown of who\u2019s playing who in the Beatles biopic.<\/p>\n<p>Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Paul McCartney and Paul Mescal\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"ResponsiveImageContainer-eNxvmU cfBbTk responsive-image__image\"   src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/RS-191125-PAUL.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Photo: Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The Irish Oscar nominee, currently winning yet more raves with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vogue.com\/article\/hamnet-costume-and-production-design\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Hamnet<\/a>, will take the part of the Liverpudlian bassist, keyboardist, and singer-songwriter. The son of a midwife and jazz musician, he taught himself piano and guitar as a teenager, and was school friends with George Harrison. Aged 15, McCartney met John Lennon and his band, the Quarrymen, and came on board as a guitarist. Harrison joined them in 1958, and by 1960, they\u2019d renamed themselves The Beatles.<\/p>\n<p>McCartney began playing bass in 1961, and two years later, Beatlemania swept the world following the success of \u201cLove Me Do\u201d. Alongside Lennon, McCartney co-wrote many of the band\u2019s early hits including \u201cShe Loves You\u201d, \u201cI Want to Hold Your Hand,\u201d and \u201cCan\u2019t Buy Me Love.\u201d Over time, he became the de facto leader of The Beatles. After they disbanded, he embarked on a solo career in the \u201970s, formed the band Wings, and still continues to tour and make music today, at 83.
