{"id":241992,"date":"2025-12-20T01:38:12","date_gmt":"2025-12-20T01:38:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/241992\/"},"modified":"2025-12-20T01:38:12","modified_gmt":"2025-12-20T01:38:12","slug":"woman-convicted-of-dumping-after-couch-is-taken-from-limerick-home-and-thrown-on-bonfire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/241992\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman convicted of dumping after couch is taken from Limerick home and thrown on bonfire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A WOMAN who allowed two men to carry a leather couch from her home before throwing it onto a bonfire has been fined \u20ac750 after she was convicted of a dumping offence.<\/p>\n<p>Laura Ambrose, who has an address at Byrne Avenue,\u00a0Ballincaurra Weston, Limerick was prosecuted by Limerick City and County Council, arising from an incident on April 7, last.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Ambrose was not present at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.limerickleader.ie\/section\/463\/crime-court\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Limerick District Court<\/a><\/strong> when her case was heard by Judge Catherine Ryan who said she was satisfied to proceed in her absence.<\/p>\n<p>During the case, solicitor, Will Leahy, representing the local authority, presented CCTV evidence of the alleged incident to the court.<\/p>\n<p>In the footage, two people can be seen carrying the couch from the side of Ms Ambrose&#8217;s home along a public street to a green area in the estate.
