The Hollywood star was photographed taking a ferry from Doolin in Clare to the Aran Islands, where he tried his hand at pouring the perfect pint of Guinness\n<\/p>\n

Hollywood actor Steve Carell was spotted by various locals enjoying a trip around Clare and Galway on Monday.<\/p>\n

The American actor, comedian, producer, writer, and director is most well-known for the US hit show The Office, voicing the character Gru in Despicable Me, Anchorman, 40-Year-Old Virgin, and more.<\/p>\n

In a photo posted by Doolin Ferry Company on social media, Mr Carell can be seen posing in the wheelhouse of the ferry, which was on its way to the Aran Islands.<\/p>\n

The Clare-based business said the Golden Globe winner could be seen in the photo posing with Connor O’Brien \u2013 \u201cson of Doolin Ferry owner Liam\u201d.<\/p>\n

Further photos then emerged of \u2018Michael Scott\u2019 learning to pour pints of Guinness at Teach \u00d3sta on Inis Me\u00e1in.<\/p>\n

Staff smiled for photos with the actor before teaching him the phases of pint pouring.<\/p>\n

The Connacht Health and Safety Training Institute also posted a photo of two of their members with the Hollywood actor, who they conveniently \u201cbumped into\u201d during a first aid class.<\/p>\n

CSHI captioned the photo: \u201cOut doing First Aid on the Island, and looked who we bumped into, pity he couldn’t join the class!\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Carell has previously talked about his love of Ireland, saying he would insist on returning to Dublin for movie premieres.<\/p>\n

“I’m telling you this, I’m coming back to Dublin again and again,\u201d he told the Irish Independent in a 2015 interview. \u201cAnd I’m going to encourage others to do the same.<\/p>\n

“Because there is nowhere like it. The atmosphere is electric. The reporters on the red carpet are so friendly and full of energy.<\/p>\n

“And there’s a warmth there you don’t get anywhere else. That’s how you want your film to be received.”<\/p>\n

In the same interview, the voice of \u2018Gru\u2019 mentioned that his wife and fellow actor, Nancy Carell, has Irish family.<\/p>\n

“There’s no joke here. Especially if my wife has anything to do with it. All her family are from Ireland, so she’ll make sure it happens,” he said.<\/p>\n
