It appears\u00a0Vicki\u00a0Gunvalson<\/a>‘s wish came true:\u00a0Her son,\u00a0Mike Wolfsmith<\/a>, \u201cfinally\u201d returned home just in time for the holidays.<\/p>\n

The Real Housewives of Orange County<\/a>\u00a0mom shared the happy reunion on Instagram this week, more than a year after\u00a0announcing Mike\u2019s decision to move to Europe<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is finally home!!\u201d she wrote in an Instagram Story.<\/p>\n

Vicki Gunvalson’s son, Mike Wolfsmith, returns to the OC<\/p>\n

The photo showed the mother and son at the Coto de Caza Golf and Racquet Club alongside\u00a0Vicki\u2019s boyfriend,\u00a0Michael Smith<\/a>. The trio snapped a few photos near a cluster of Christmas trees and then headed to the club\u2019s Preserve restaurant for dinner.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cMy mom\u2019s country club,\u201d Mike captioned a Story. \u201cI need chicken before the gym!\u201d<\/p>\n

The group enjoyed a few glasses of wine, capris salad, burgers, and lamb chops, which Mike described as \u201camazing!\u201d<\/p>\n

Mike Wolfsmith shares his late dog’s “new spot” in Vicki Gunvalson’s home<\/p>\n

After returning to Vicki\u2019s longtime home, Mike highlighted a small glass console where Vicki displayed sentimental items and family photos. In between the frames was a small urn containing the ashes of Mike\u2019s beloved dog, Walter, who died over the summer.<\/p>\n

\u201cWalter\u2019s new spot,\u201d he captioned the photo.<\/p>\n

Mike also posted an amusing \u2014 but very sweet \u2014 painting of Walter cooking in a kitchen while dressed as a chef.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHad this waiting at my mom\u2019s from [Colin Brennan],\u201d he wrote about the artwork. \u201c[Hashtag] ChefWalt.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mike announced Walter\u2019s death in\u00a0a July 18 Instagram post<\/a>, less than four months after the pug turned 15.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWalter is gone. I knew this day would eventually come, but I\u2019m still hit with immense sadness,\u201d he wrote. \u201cHe was my best friend, and travel buddy. Countless road trips, airplanes, trains, boats, hotels, etc. Trips to Canada, Mexico, Europe, all over the US, and living in Hawaii. Multiple moves, multiple gf\u2019s, and he was always the constant.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cI know many of you loved Walter as well. He was such a good dog, and never did anything wrong, except maybe bark for my food. I will miss him so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vicki Gunvalson reflects on Mike Wolfsmith’s life abroad<\/p>\n

Shortly after Walter\u2019s passing,\u00a0Vicki\u00a0and her beau, Michael, visited Mike in Spain. The RHOC cast member recounted the experience in the September 10 episode of\u00a0My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast<\/a>, saying the getaway was enjoyable but exhausting.<\/p>\n

\u201cI go, \u2018I don\u2019t know when I\u2019m coming back,\u2019\u201d she recalled telling her son. \u201c\u2018When are you coming home?\u2019 He\u2019s like, \u2018I am home.\u2019 I\u2019m, like, \u2018No, son. This is not home. You gotta come back.\u2019 And it was sad because Walter was not there.\u201d<\/p>\n
