\n\tWarner Bros.\u2019 \u201cWeapons<\/a>\u201d held the No. 1 position at the U.K. and Ireland box office for a third consecutive weekend, taking in \u00a31.1 million ($1.5 million) and lifting its total to \u00a38.6 million ($11.7 million), according to Comscore.<\/p>\n

\n\tDisney\u2019s \u201cFreakier Friday<\/a>\u201d stayed strong in second place with $1 million, pushing its cumulative tally to $7.8 million after three weeks. Sony\u2019s \u201cMaterialists<\/a>\u201d followed at No. 3, grossing $749,131 for a running total of $3.5 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tRounding out the upper half of the chart, Universal\u2019s animated sequel \u201cThe Bad Guys 2<\/a>\u201d placed fourth with $691,083 for a cumulative $13.8 million, while Disney\u2019s \u201cThe Fantastic Four: First Steps\u201d remained a steady presence at No. 5 with $686,093, bringing its total to $29.7 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe highest new entry of the weekend was Studiocanal\u2019s \u201cThe Life Of Chuck,\u201d debuting in sixth place on $657,280. Paramount\u2019s reboot of \u201cThe Naked Gun\u201d slipped to No. 7 but added $529,597, moving its total to $8.8 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tAt No. 8, Universal\u2019s \u201cJurassic World Rebirth\u201d continues to show stamina in its eighth week, collecting $355,761 for a cumulative $47.2 million. \u201cNobody 2,\u201d also from Universal, was in ninth with $334,849, reaching $1.5 million. Universal scored another new entry at No. 10 with \u201cEddington,\u201d which opened to $334,403.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe final weekend of August brings a mix of prestige, nostalgia, and genre fare to U.K. and Ireland cinemas.<\/p>\n

\n\tSony Pictures rolls out Darren Aronofsky\u2019s \u201cCaught Stealing,\u201d starring Austin Butler, while Disney counters with \u201cThe Roses,\u201d headlined by Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman, adding fresh studio firepower to the frame. Warner Bros. revisits one of its crown jewels with a 20th anniversary re-release of \u201cHarry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,\u201d expected to draw audiences back into Hogwarts.<\/p>\n

\n\tBFI Distribution offers Berlin and Tribeca-winning Slovenian drama \u201cLittle Trouble Girls\u201d from Ur\u0161ka Djuki\u0107, while Signature Entertainment unveils Macon Blair\u2019s \u201cThe Toxic Avenger Uncut,\u201d starring Peter Dinklage, Jacob Tremblay and Kevin Bacon, in an uncut version of the cult classic. Universal celebrates the 50th anniversary of Steven Spielberg\u2019s \u201cJaws,\u201d while Vertigo Releasing revisits Yorgos Lanthimos\u2019 breakthrough with a 4K restoration of \u201cDogtooth.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSpecialist distributors also weigh in with the Dardenne brothers\u2019 Cannes-winning \u201cYoung Mothers\u201d from Curzon, TAPE Collective\u2019s mother-daughter culinary musical \u201cIn The Nguyen Kitchen,\u201d and Icon Film Distribution\u2019s L.A. Outfest-winning \u201cBig Boys,\u201d a coming-of-age tale from director Corey Sherman. A24 adds Spike Lee\u2019s \u201cHighest 2 Lowest,\u201d starring Denzel Washington, to the lineup. Bakrania Media brings Bollywood film \u201cParam Sundari\u201d to audiences.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe weekend also features concert experiences and event cinema. Piece of Magic Entertainment presents \u201cAndre Rieu\u2019s 2025 Maastricht Concert: Waltz The Night Away!\u201d on Aug. 30, while Path\u00e9 Live contributes\u201cPrince: Sign O\u2019 The Times.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAnime Ltd closes out the week with \u201cColorful Stage!
