{"id":248102,"date":"2025-12-23T20:09:09","date_gmt":"2025-12-23T20:09:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/248102\/"},"modified":"2025-12-23T20:09:09","modified_gmt":"2025-12-23T20:09:09","slug":"christmas-under-boil-water-notice-possible-for-wexford-town-as-issues-continue-the-irish-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/248102\/","title":{"rendered":"Christmas under boil-water notice possible for Wexford town as issues continue \u2013 The Irish Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">A boil-water notice remains in place for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/wexford\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/wexford\/\">Wexford<\/a> town due to a disinfection issue at a local treatment plant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/uisce-eireann\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/uisce-eireann\/\">Uisce \u00c9ireann<\/a> issued the notice five days ago for areas on the Wexford town public water supply, with both households and businesses are being affected.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The notice was issued to protect the health of about 22,000 customers due to untreated water entering the supply.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The water body advises that water must be boiled for drinking water; drinks made with water; preparation of salads and similar uncooked foods; brushing teeth and making ice.
