Joining the smartphone is the OnePlus Pad Go 2, the brand\u2019s first tablet to offer integrated 5G connectivity and dedicated stylus support, alongside the OnePlus Watch Lite, a sleek wearable featuring a record-breaking 3,000-nit display and unique cross-OS dual-phone pairing.<\/p>\n

Together, these releases signal a strategic shift for OnePlus as it aims to dominate the \u201cpremium mid-segment\u201d just in time for the holiday shopping season. By trickling down high-end features like 165Hz AMOLED displays and advanced AI-driven software, the company is looking to bridge the gap between its top-tier flagships and its budget-friendly Nord line-up.<\/p>\n

Priced at \u00a3649 for the 256GB model, the OnePlus 15R\u2019s promises impressive performance beginning with its chipset which is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 mobile platform, co-defined and co-optimised over 24 months by Qualcomm and OnePlus. OnePlus quotes a 36% faster CPU speed and 46% better AI performance than the previous generation chipset. <\/p>\n

Users of smartphones demand that their phones last at least a full day of general use and the OnePlus 15R promises to excel with its large 7,400 mAh battery equipped with OnePlus\u2019s 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging technology, built to run in the harshest environments and still keep running with at least 80% capacity after four years. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s also built with Silicon Nanostack technology, with 15% silicon content inside its anode, which provides excellent energy density. We wont know for sure what this means for users until I get my hands on a phone and put it through its paces in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

At the front of OnePlus 15R the screen is a 165Hz LTPS 1.5K AMOLED display. Measuring 6.83 inches and featuring 450 pixels per inch, which is undoubtedly large, it can go as high as 1800 nits of brightness and as low as 1 nit with Reduce White Point activated. <\/p>\n

For all the amateur photographers out there, the OnePlus 15R features strong photography skills too. This starts with a 32-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus and a 50-megapixel main camera, the same IMX906 sensor found on OnePlus 15, and an 8 megapixel ultra-wide sensor with a 112 degrees field of view. This hardware is combined with the new OnePlus DetailMax Engine. The device can also record 4K video at up to 120 frames per second and then go on to edit the footage directly on the device, again a road test will be required to see just how great the improvements are over its older sibling.<\/p>\n

The display also features 284 pixels per inch, 98% DCI-P3 colour coverage and 900 nits HBM brightness and supports Dolby Vision for amazing media playback which will certainly appeal to movie buffs.<\/p>\n
