A 73-year-old woman has died following a two-car collision in Co Down.<\/p>\n
The collision occurred on the Ardglass Road in Downpatrick, at around 5.40pm yesterday evening.<\/p>\n
The driver of one of the cars, who has been named as Angela Feenan, who was from the Downpatrick area, was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
The driver of the second car, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
The Ardglass Road was closed for a technical examination, but has since re-opened.<\/p>\n
Ms Feenan’s death brings to three the number of people killed on Northern Ireland’s roads over the past few days.<\/p>\n
Also yesterday, 20-year-old Padraig McDonald died following a two-car collision on the Drum Road in Cookstown, while on Christmas Eve, 23-year-old Callum McVeigh died in single vehicle crash in the Craigantlet area of Newtownards.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A 73-year-old woman has died following a two-car collision in Co Down.
