Anthropic had <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/06\/24\/a-federal-judge-sides-with-anthropic-in-lawsuit-over-training-ai-on-books-without-authors-permission\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">won a partial victory in a lower court ruling<\/a> and was in the process of appealing that ruling. No details of the settlement were made public, and Anthropic did not immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Called Bartz v. Anthropic, the case deals with Anthropic\u2019s use of books as training material for its large language models.
