The scale of the camera improvements might be so significant that it prompts a major design shift, the rumor claims<\/a>, with Samsung bringing back the camera island to house the better hardware. <\/p>\n Samsung last used the camera island design, which houses the sensors in a raised platform at the back, on the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The company transitioned to a different design later on that had the lenses sticking out from the back glass directly.\n<\/p>\n It’s claimed that the design shift will be necessary due to the upgrades made to the primary sensor and the zoom camera, as Samsung is focused on significantly improving their capabilities<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n It appears that the Galaxy S26 Ultra might represent one of the biggest shifts in design language for this model. It’s largely been molded in the essence of the Galaxy Note series, with sharp lines and an angular design.
