Kate Winslet \u201ckissed a few girls [and] boys\u201d during her \u201cfirst intimate experiences\u201d as a teen.<\/p>\n
The actress made the confession \u2014 \u201csomething [she has] never shared before\u201d \u2014 on Wednesday\u2019s \u201cTeam Deakins\u201d podcast episode<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cAt that stage in my life, I certainly was curious,\u201d the Oscar winner said, clarifying that she hadn\u2019t been \u201cparticularly evolved in either direction.\u201d<\/p>\n Kate Winslet, pictured above on Dec. 8, confessed to \u201ckiss[ing] a few girls\u201d in a recent podcast episode. GC Images<\/p>\n This gave Winslet a \u201cprofound\u201d understanding of her and Melanie Lynskey\u2019s 1994 movie, \u201cHeavenly Creatures.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThere was something about the really intense connection that those two women had,\u201d Winslet explained of the film, which featured two teenage girls with an obsessive friendship.<\/p>\n \u201cI was so immediately sucked into the vortex of that world they were in that obviously became horrendously damaging to both of them, and they had huge insecurities and vulnerabilities,\u201d the \u201cTitanic\u201d star added.<\/p>\n Winslet, pictured above in 1991, had \u201ckissed a few boys\u201d but wasn\u2019t particularly evolved in either direction.
