Or perhaps it was your dentures or your banjo?<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">These are just some of the unusual items listed as having been mislaid in the Freenow by Lyft taxi service this year \u2013 as well as graduation scrolls and a Cork flag.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">The taxi app has today revealed that Irish passengers forgot a total of over 4,600 items in Freenow taxis over the past 12 months, making us Europe\u2019s most distracted country.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Overall 30pc of all items lost across Europe were lost in Ireland, closely followed by Germany (17pc), Spain (16pc), Greece (15pc) and the UK (9pc) who all ranked in the top five most forgetful countries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Unsurprisingly, mobile phones accounted for over 31pc of those left behind, with a tally of almost 1,500.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Mobile phones were not-so-closely-followed by bags, keys, wallets and purses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Believe it or not, in very Cinderella-esque fashion, there were 42 pairs of shoes left behind in Irish taxis in 2025 \u2013 more than the number of vapes, which came in at just 40 \u2013 the priorities of the people of Ireland are very much intact. <\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">There was a musical theme to many of the items forgotten in taxis with items left behind in 2025 including a banjo, a concertina, a guitar and drum sticks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">104 pieces of jewellery also made the list of commonly forgotten items, with a number of engagement and wedding rings left behind during 2025 \u2013 we\u2019ll say no more. <\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">A spokesperson for the taxi app said;
