Bonnie Ryan has announced she is expecting her first child with husband John.<\/p>\n

The influencer took to social media on Monday evening to confirm she was pregnant with her first child.<\/p>\n

Posting on Instagram, she shared a montage of photos of her cradling her baby bump, and sharing a kiss with husband John, she captioned the post: “Looks like we made it.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019ve waited for this moment and finally here we are and, halfway cooked! So much love, gratitude and excitement for what\u2019s to come.”<\/p>\n

She finished by adding: “Sending love and luck to anyone on a TTC journey.”<\/p>\n

It comes after Bonnie shared she had been struggling to conceive earlier this year.<\/p>\n

In a candid conversation with sister Lottie on their podcast, Bonnie opened up about her and husband John’s struggles to start a family and insensitive comments people make.<\/p>\n

Speaking on her their podcast No One Else Will Listen, Bonnie recalled how tough it is to hear people assumed she and husband John don’t want children.<\/p>\n

She then revealed that last year she found out she can’t get pregnant herself and never expected to be told that.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t plan on talking about this in the podcast last week,\u201d Bonnie<\/a> admitted.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut once the conversation started, it just\u2026 happened. It was honest and it was real”.<\/p>\n

Since the episode aired, both she and Lottie have been inundated with messages from women sharing their own experiences and struggles.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people who I know have opened up to me to let me know they\u2019re going through the same fertility journey,\u201d Bonnie explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am absolutely floored by how trusting people have been with me in my DM\u2019s, telling me their personal stories.<\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t have wanted a better reaction. Hopefully, it makes people feel less alone.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I shared it with our immediate family earlier this year, I took so much good from it. It was so good to have such support,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut there is the flip side\u2026there is a bit of stress from knowing our family is worried about me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Opening up publicly, however, came with a different kind of vulnerability and a surprising sense of relief.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s nerve-racking opening up to a wider circle of people,\u201d she admitted.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is something really scary about sharing my fertility journey.
