Ryan Gravenberch<\/a> has praised Curtis Jones<\/a>\u2018 influence on Liverpool, explaining how the Scouser complements his game in midfield. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Gravenberch was one of Liverpool\u2019s standout performers in their title-winning campaign, and while his form hasn\u2019t dropped off a cliff this season, he has been part of a wider malaise.<\/p>\n

The Dutchman has spent more time running beyond the ball this season, rather than just sitting as a holding midfielder. <\/p>\n

While this suits the individual\u2019s game, it has been a contributing factor to Liverpool being left exposed at times.<\/p>\n

Now, with Jones back in the team and plugging some of those gaps, Gravenberch has told All Red Video<\/a> how he feels more comfortable playing alongside the homegrown Red.<\/p>\n

Asked if it feels more suited to the current state of play to have extra help from Jones in midfield, Gravenberch responded: \u201cYeah, of course. <\/p>\n

\u201cI know Curtis, he loves to take the ball and dribble from the back. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s really comfortable and almost never loses the ball so it\u2019s really nice to play with him. It gives you like more confidence to bring the ball forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

Second-half adversity<\/p>\n

Liverpool\u2019s midfield may be functioning better now, but there are still obvious problems when it comes to seeing out leads.<\/p>\n

The second half against Wolves<\/a> saw the Premier League<\/a>\u2018s basement dwellers produce more than double Liverpool\u2019s xG tally, according to FotMob<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we can do a bit better in the second half,\u201d Gravenberch added. <\/p>\n

\u201cOf course we play a lot of games, players get tired, but I think if you get tired, you have to keep the ball and not go forward always.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we could do better and then just keep the ball and just let them run, and they will get tired from that, and then find the right moment. We didn\u2019t do it but I think we have to keep working on that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"LIVERPOOL,<\/p>\n

Gravenberch was the man to open Liverpool\u2019s account on Saturday, slotting accurately past Jose Sa to put Liverpool 1-0 up at Anfield, and having scored, he paid tribute to Diogo Jota<\/a> with his former teammate\u2019s shark celebration. <\/p>\n

The 23-year-old said: \u201cWe know he played for us and also for Wolves<\/a>, two teams that he played in England. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt was nice to have his kids as well as mascots.
