A male pedestrian (40s) has died after a road crash in Co Kildare this evening.<\/p>\n
The incident occurred at around 6pm on the R445 Monasterevin Road outside of Kildare Town.<\/p>\n
The man\u2019s body remains at the scene while forensic collision investigators conduct a technical examination of the scene.<\/p>\n
The road between Monasterevin and Kildare Town is currently closed, and local diversions are in place.<\/p>\n
“Garda\u00ed and emergency services are currently in attendance at the scene of a fatal road traffic collision on the R445 in Co. Kildare, Tuesday 30th December 2025,\u201d a garda spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe collision involved a car and a pedestrian and occurred at approximately 6pm on the R445 -Monasterevin Road, leaving Kildare Town in the direction of Monasterevin.<\/p>\n
