Fox<\/a> has made his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/shrinking\/\" id=\"auto-tag_shrinking_1\" data-tag=\"shrinking\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shrinking<\/a> debut.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tOn Tuesday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/apple-tv-2\/\" id=\"auto-tag_apple-tv-2_1\" data-tag=\"apple-tv-2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Apple TV<\/a> released the trailer for the <a data-id=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/shrinking-season-3-release-date-1236406163\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/shrinking-season-3-release-date-1236406163\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">third season of Shrinking<\/a>, which stars <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/jason-segel\/\" id=\"auto-tag_jason-segel_1\" data-tag=\"jason-segel\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jason Segel<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/harrison-ford\/\" id=\"auto-tag_harrison-ford_1\" data-tag=\"harrison-ford\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Harrison Ford<\/a>. In the trailer, Fox meets Dr. Paul Rhoades (Ford) in a waiting room. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cWhat are you in for?\u201d Fox asks Paul. \u201cParkinson\u2019s. You?\u201d Paul responds, to which Fox jokes, \u201cJust a haircut,\u201d and they both start laughing. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tPaul\u2019s had Parkinson\u2019s since season one. However, he initially tried to hide it until he realized he needed to face his disease.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe guest role marks Fox\u2019s return to acting after stepping away in 2020 due to <a data-id=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/lifestyle\/lifestyle-news\/michael-j-fox-parkinsons-roles-remembering-lines-1235158253\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/lifestyle\/lifestyle-news\/michael-j-fox-parkinsons-roles-remembering-lines-1235158253\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">memory and speech issues<\/a> from Parkinson\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tShrinking follows Jimmy\u2019s (Segel) grieving therapist, who began breaking the rules by telling his clients exactly what he was thinking \u2014 and ignoring his ethics. By doing so, he found himself making changes in people\u2019s lives as well as his own.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tFox joining the show marks a reunion for him and series co-creator Bill Lawrence. The two previously worked together on the ABC sitcom Spin City for four seasons, which Fox starred in until 2000, when he departed due to Parkinson\u2019s-related issues. Fox also had a guest role on Lawrence\u2019s Scrubs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIn addition, the trailer shows Cobie Smulders reuniting with Segel after a brief role in season two, and she plays his love interest, Sofi. They previously co-starred on the hit CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tShrinking season three will premiere its first episode on Wednesday, Jan. 28, followed by a weekly episode release until April 8, 2026, on Apple TV.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Michael J.
