\n\tTaylor Swift<\/a>\u2019s The Tortured Poets Department is back in the top 10 of the Billboard 200<\/a> chart for the first time in more than six months, as the 2024 set jumps from No. 18 to No. 10 on the chart dated Aug. 30, following the Aug. 12 announcement<\/a> of her forthcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl (due Oct. 3).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe next day (Aug. 13), she appeared on a highly watched<\/a> episode of her now-fianc\u00e9<\/a>\u2019s podcast, New Heights, to discuss the upcoming release.<\/p>\n

\n\tPoets spent 17 nonconsecutive weeks atop the Billboard 200<\/a> beginning in May 2024, the most weeks atop the list of any of Swift\u2019s 14 No. 1 albums.<\/p>\n

\n\tSwift has a total of 10 albums on the latest Billboard 200, with five of them in the top 40. It\u2019s not uncommon for Swift to have a bevy of albums on the chart in any given week, though this week marks the first time she\u2019s had five albums in the top 40 at the same time since the Jan. 25-dated chart.<\/p>\n

\n\tHere\u2019s a look at all of Swift\u2019s albums on the latest Billboard 200 chart, dated Aug. 30:<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid\/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the 10 days following Showgirl\u2019s announcement (Aug. 12-21), Swift\u2019s catalog of albums earned 299,000 equivalent album units in the United States, according to Luminate. That\u2019s an increase of 43% as compared to the 10 days prior (208,000; Aug. 2-11).
