Call Doechii Lot\u2019s wife for the way she\u2019s looking back. The rapper ended her breakout year<\/a> with a song and music video titled \u201cgirl, get up.\u201d Featuring SZA on the chorus, the braggadocios track is both a flex and a therapy session. Doechii uses the lyrics to respond to her haters in startlingly direct terms and deliver teases about what the coming year has in store for her. It\u2019s laid-back, with a guitar-based beat based on a sample of \u201cWhat Happened to That Boy\u201d by Baby ft. Clipse, and listening to the song feels like you\u2019re in a smoke sesh with her. On the choruses, SZA\u2019s voice floats in from the back, sharing manifestations and advice. \u201cFuck a limitation, leave me, girl, get up,\u201d she lilts. \u201cSomehow I know that I\u2019ll have everything that\u2019s mine.\u201d<\/p>\n

Doechii takes a more direct approach. \u201cAll that industry plant shit wack,\u201d she raps on the second verse, referring to some fans\u2019 confusion over her winning the 2025 Best Rap Album Grammy<\/a>. \u201cI see it on the blogs, I see you in the chats.\u201d She tells the people who are in disbelief over her come-up, \u201cY\u2019all can\u2019t fathom that I work this hard \/ And y\u2019all can\u2019t fathom that I earned this chart \/ Y\u2019all can\u2019t stand my vibe \u2019cause I\u2019m anointed \/ All y\u2019all evil-ass hoes just annoyin\u2019.\u201d She even acknowledges the blogosphere allegations that she\u2019s currently on drugs, rapping \u201cY\u2019all wanna believe I\u2019m on drugs and forsaken \/ They won\u2019t credit me, so they blame it on Satan \/ Blame it on my label, blame it on my team \/ End of the day, everything is on me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Doechii also drops a hint that an album could be coming soon. \u201cThese n- – – – – misogynistic, I\u2019ll address it on the album,\u201d she says. \u201cFor now, let\u2019s sink into the fact that hate don\u2019t make you powerful.\u201d Then, looking ahead more broadly, she promises: \u201cUsed to be a starvin\u2019 artist, now I want the whole dinner \/ Bitch, I want my things.\u201d Doechii dropping this song, finishing up by gesturing toward her greater ambitions, gives the sense that she just had a few things to get off her chest before entering the New Year clearheaded. Watch out, 2026, because Doechii is unloaded and ready.<\/p>\n
