\n The medal was stolen yesterday from a home in Meath.\n <\/p>\n

Garda\u00ed in Ashbourne are investigating the theft of a 1949 Leinster Senior Football Final winners medal.<\/p>\n

The medal, which was stolen from a private residence in Ratoath yesterday between 3pm and 10:15pm, has a distinct brooch pin on the back.<\/p>\n

It holds huge sentimental value to the family.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Meath defeated Westmeath in the 1949 Provincial decider.<\/p>\n

Anyone who is offered the medal for sale, or who has any information, is asked to contact Ashbourne Garda Station at 01 801 0600.<\/p>\n
