Doechii<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0SZA<\/a>\u00a0have wrapped up 2025 with a new collaboration \u2013\u00a0watch the video for \u2018Girl, Get Up\u2019 below.<\/p>\n

The track is\u00a0the two artists\u2019\u00a0first time working together since 2022\u2019s \u2018Persuasive<\/a>\u2019 and this time around it sees them working with New Jersey producer Jay Versace, who also contributed to SZA\u2019s\u00a02022 album \u2018SOS<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n

Over a taut, minimal beat,\u00a0Doechii\u00a0uses her verses to take on the haters directly. \u201cAll that industry plant shit whack \/ I\u00a0see\u00a0it on the blogs, I see you in the chats,\u201d she sings. \u201cY\u2019all can\u2019t fathom that I earned this chart \/ Y\u2019all can\u2019t stand my vibe \u2018cause I\u2019m anointed.\u201d<\/p>\n

SZA takes the richly soulful choruses, while the video sees a confident and content Doechii on a yacht and a stadium rooftop as she reflects on her success to date.<\/p>\n

It is\u00a0Doechii\u2019s\u00a0biggest release since \u2018Anxiety\u2019 in the spring, a 2019 song that she re-recorded and reissued after\u00a0it started gaining traction on TikTok<\/a>. She went on to pick up five\u00a0Grammy<\/a>\u00a0nominations, following on from\u00a0her 2024 mixtape \u2018Alligator Bites Never Heal<\/a>\u2019, which\u00a0won at the Grammys for Best Rap Album<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She also played her \u2018Live From The Swamp Tour\u2019 in North America<\/a>\u00a0in October and November, having had\u00a0to cancel a string of festival appearances in the UK over the summer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She did however play a headline set on the\u00a0West Holts stage<\/a>\u00a0at\u00a0Glastonbury 2025<\/a>. In\u00a0a four-star review<\/a>,\u00a0NME\u00a0hailed the milestone performance as \u201ca masterclass in hip-hop\u201d.<\/p>\n

It read: \u201cThis may not be the typical Glastonbury set full to the brim with special guests but in just 45 minutes, the Tampa star\u00a0showcases\u00a0what she does best and why\u00a0she\u2019s\u00a0one of\u00a0rap\u2019s\u00a0brightest lights. Consider us schooled.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018Anxiety\u2019 was also recently named as one of the top 20 global songs on TikTok for 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n
