Adam Peaty’s mum Caroline has shared a cryptic post this morning, on New Year’s Eve, revealing she has ‘lost a piece of her that she will never get back’<\/p>\n

Adam Peaty’s<\/a> mum Caroline has shared a string of cryptic posts this morning, days after her son wed Holly Ramsay earlier this week.<\/p>\n

Heartbroken Caroline’s posts reveal she feels she’s ‘lost a piece of herself’ as she admitted she was ‘praying for peace’ in 2026 after a fallout with her son and his new wife in the lead-up to his wedding.<\/p>\n

Swimmer Adam, 31, and Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Holly, 26, tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Bath earlier this week \u2013 with a string of Adam’s family members noticeably missing amongst the 200 guests who attended the nuptials. Just one member of Adam’s family was present at Adam’s big day; Adam’s sister Bethany acted as a bridesmaid for Holly.<\/p>\n

Caroline spoke out shortly before Adam tied the knot with Holly, revealing she felt as though the couple had ‘cut out her heart’ with the brutal snub, which reportedly began after Caroline bought a dress for the big day which the bride and groom didn’t approve of.<\/p>\n

Now, days after Adam and Holly said ‘I do’ in a lavish ceremony, the Olympian’s mum has shared two cryptic posts on New Year’s Eve \u2013 which appear to reference her fallout with her son. The first was a sketch of a robin and a ladybird sat together on a twig with the words written below: “Just a little reminder that you don’t have to make resolutions, or huge decisions, or big proclamations. You can just set some sweet intentions and take each day as it comes.”<\/p>\n

The second quote read: “I won’t end this year pretending everything was fine. I lost a piece of myself this year that I will never get back, and I’m not forcing a smile like it didn’t change me. So no… I won’t be saying ‘2026 is going to be my year’. I’ll be praying that I recover next year, that my heart never has to break like this again, that I never have to survive something like this again. I’ll be praying for peace… real peace, the kind that lets me breathe without fighting for it. I deserve a year that doesn’t hurt.”<\/p>\n

Adam and Holly exchanged vows at Bath Abbey on Saturday, December 27 with a string of Adam’s family members missing from the service. On the eve of the big day, Caroline spoke out about her true feelings on the wedding snub. Speaking to MailOnline<\/a> Caroline said: “I don\u2019t think they understand how much they have hurt me; it\u2019s as if they have cut my heart out.”<\/p>\n

She added: “This is the first Christmas<\/a> that I\u2019ve not had my family together \u2013 my family is broken. Yes, I have my other grandchildren. Yes, I have my other children, but my family is split because of the goings on\u2026because of the wedding.”<\/p>\n

Caroline had considered attending the ceremony and “watch from the street” but later decided against it as she said it would be “too sad” and she didn’t want to “spoil his big day”.<\/p>\n

Later on his big day, Adam’s aunt Louise \u2013 who was also uninvited to his wedding \u2013 sent him a text on the big day. In it, she wrote: “I hope you never suffer the depth of pain you have put your mother through and despite it all she loves you still. Shame on you both. Shame.<\/p>\n

“Remember on this, your happiest day, and on each anniversary of your happiest day, that you hurt your mum so deeply her soul screams,” MailOnline<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n
