Jessie J<\/a>\u00a0has shared a personal reflection on her challenging 2025, which she has described as \u201cone of the hardest but most magical years\u201d.<\/p>\n

The singer\u00a0announced in June that she had been diagnosed with early breast cancer<\/a>\u00a0and shortly afterwards\u00a0she successfully underwent surgery<\/a>.\u00a0In August,\u00a0she was forced to cancel a string of UK, European and North American tour dates<\/a>\u00a0as she was scheduled to undergo a second surgery.<\/p>\n

Yesterday (December 30),\u00a0she posted on her Instagram Stories, writing: \u201cThis is an honest story post that will get blown\u00a0up\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0sure. But who cares.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs truthfully in a world full of \u2018everything is fine, I\u2019m happy, I\u2019m good, life is perfect\u2019 there is grief hurt pain sadness heartbreak and reflection and processing happening this time of year for many of us, along side the good and great or on its own,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year has been heavy and hard in many ways for all of us, for me personally one of the hardest but most magical years of my life. Personally and professionally. But all the sadness has come up this week, it\u2019s the first time I\u2019ve stopped (working and being in public in months) So I\u2019m crying a lot. Writing shit down feeling really low tbh. The lowest I have felt in a while.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that she was experiencing\u00a0an \u201caccumulation of stuff just making its way to the surface\u201d and that she was\u00a0choosing to\u00a0\u201clet it out.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t hold it in people,\u201d she said.\u00a0\u201cWe are not superhuman or meant to be happy and positive all the time.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0healthy and normal to cry.\u201d<\/p>\n

She concluded:\u00a0\u201cSending love to anyone feeling this way too right now. No positive end to this. Just\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0with\u00a0ya.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0shit sometimes.\u201d<\/p>\n

In September,\u00a0Jessie made an emotional return to the stage alongside her two-year-old son at BBC Radio 2 in the\u00a0Park<\/a>, just\u00a011 weeks\u00a0after undergoing surgery. \u201cI\u2019m\u00a0still very\u00a0much in the recovery process,\u201d she said at the time. \u201cBut I\u2019m just so grateful to be here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her sixth studio album \u2018Don\u2019t Tease Me\u00a0With\u00a0A\u00a0Good Time\u2019 was released in November, including the singles \u2018No Secrets\u2019,\u00a0\u2018Living My Best Life\u2019,\u00a0\u2018H.A.P.P.Y.\u2019 and \u2018I\u2019l\u00a0Never Know Why\u2019.<\/p>\n

In 2026,\u00a0she is set to play at\u00a0Victorious Festival in Portsmouth<\/a>, and\u00a0will join Lily Allen and Scissor Sisters at the Mighty Hoopla<\/a>\u00a0in London in May.<\/p>\n
