{"id":261230,"date":"2026-01-01T07:02:13","date_gmt":"2026-01-01T07:02:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/261230\/"},"modified":"2026-01-01T07:02:13","modified_gmt":"2026-01-01T07:02:13","slug":"possible-snow-on-friday-to-kick-start-cold-week-met-eireann","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/261230\/","title":{"rendered":"Possible snow on Friday to kick-start cold week &#8211; Met \u00c9ireann"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Met \u00c9ireann has said it will become very cold from Friday with an Arctic air mass expected to move down over the country, leading to the possibility of snow.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>However, forecaster Michelle Dillon has said ahead of that, high pressure will continue, bringing dry conditions for the rest of 2025.<\/p>\n<p>While some parts of Donegal experienced lows of -4 last night, she said some light drizzle is expected tonight night and into tomorrow, but it will be mostly dry on New Year\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on RT\u00c9\u2019s News, Ms Dillon said: \u201cIt starts to turn much colder Thursday night and Friday.
