{"id":262213,"date":"2026-01-01T20:26:07","date_gmt":"2026-01-01T20:26:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/262213\/"},"modified":"2026-01-01T20:26:07","modified_gmt":"2026-01-01T20:26:07","slug":"county-council-to-host-exhibition-of-peter-nashs-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/262213\/","title":{"rendered":"County Council to host exhibition of Peter Nash\u2019s work"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"contextmenu internal_Body1st\">An exhibition of work by artist Peter Nash will be on display by Cork County Council over the coming months.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">\u2018All This For Nothing\u2019 opens on Friday, January 9, and runs until February 27 at LHQ Gallery.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">In his solo show, Mr Nash explores the pre internet sources of knowledge and methods of communication. The work also looks at contemporary systems of digital communication and machine learning. The exhibition explores concepts including digital exclusion and polarisation of debate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">Mechanical bird sculptures call out to each other across the gallery, establishing territories and communicating through a tangle of wires and electronic circuitry.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">The Mayor of the county of Cork Mary Linehan Foley said: \u201cHis work is a commentary on our reliance on modern technology and brings to life animatrons and other pieces that don\u2019t have productivity at their core. He asks the question, what is all of this technology for?
