Cat Deeley<\/a> has shared a highlights reel of her year as she admitted her year has been ‘a lot of fun’ following her split from her husband Patrick Kielty<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The This Morning host, 49, welcomed the New Year with a post showing the best bits from the past year, which included holidays, nights out and snippets from work.<\/p>\n

Cat announced her divorce in a joint statement in July, confirming they had decided to end their 13-year marriage and would remain united as parents.<\/p>\n

The couple sparked speculation they had split when Cat was absent from Patrick’s mother’s funeral in Ireland in March last year.<\/p>\n

But despite the sad news, Cat seemingly made the best of the year as she moved on from the split with support of friends and family.<\/p>\n

Cat’s playful post included her chugging red wine with her pal and pulling tongues during a bike ride in the summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Her and Ben were also joined by two the members from McFly, Danny Jones and Harry Judd.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Elsewhere she enjoyed a glass of rose with her mother Janet while relaxing on holiday, wearing a frilly black swimsuit.<\/p>\n

It comes five months after the television presenter announced the end of her 12-year marriage to Patrick, 54.<\/p>\n

Patrick and Cat stressed that ‘no other party’ was involved in the disintegration of their relationship which is believed to have been privately finalised at the start of the year, before going public months later.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In a joint statement the couple said: ‘We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved.<\/p>\n

‘We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected. There will be no further comment.’<\/p>\n

The Daily Mail previously revealed how Patrick’s family were seething over Cat’s failure to attend his beloved mother’s funeral \u2013 and say they knew at that moment their marriage was over for good.<\/p>\n

Her ‘no show’ back in March has left deep emotional scars within the Kielty family who say it confirmed for them that there was little chance of a reconciliation between the two.<\/p>\n

Clearly upset, one relative told the Daily Mail: ‘Whatever rockiness was going on in the marriage, something as momentous as his mother’s funeral, you would make up even temporarily and just put your ‘best face’ on as we say in Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n

‘Cat obviously knew how close Patrick was to Mary and she should have come to be by his side, a hand on his shoulder as he buried his mother.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘The fact that she stayed in London and presented This Morning on the day, it’s not been forgotten.’\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The source added: ‘In a very tight knit community in Northern Ireland, people always turn out. It’s the done thing. His family remain very upset by this.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘They still can’t believe it. It was the point when we all realised that that marriage had ended.’\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Cat told the Daily Mail at the time: ‘Cat remained at home to be there for her two young children before and after school on this very sad day.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cat and Patrick first met in 2002 while they hosted BBC talent show Fame Academy but they did not become an item until ten years later.<\/p>\n

Previously Cat told how Patrick turned their friendship into a romance by flying all the way from Belfast to Los Angeles, where the Birmingham-born star hosted US show So You Can Dance for a celebratory brunch.<\/p>\n

The pair first went public with their relationship in May 2012 and in September the same year, they married during an intimate ceremony in Rome.<\/p>\n

The former couple lived in California for a decade before moving back to the UK due to Cat’s keenness to be closer to her family.<\/p>\n
