\n\tBarron Trump<\/a> is officially an adult and a sophomore at New York University, but it\u2019s apparently not stopping mom, Melania Trump<\/a>, from laying down some strict Mar-a-Lago rules.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\tThe First Lady reportedly laid down the law after the 19-year-old college student\u2019s photo was taken by Mar-a-Lago<\/a> club members in the dining room during the Christmas holidays, according to Rob Shuter\u2019s Naughty But Nice<\/a> Substack.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMelania made it very clear that Barron\u2019s privacy is non-negotiable<\/a>,\u201d an insider told Shuter. \u201cAnyone caught filming or taking pictures would face immediate consequences, including potential banning from the club.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThere were numerous videos of Barron released<\/a> on X and TikTok, so it seems like a hard rule to enforce, but Mar-a-Lago reportedly shared the new rules with their members: \u201cThe message was clear: no cameras, no leaks. Private family moments stay private.\u201d But it doesn\u2019t look like everyone followed those guidelines because Barron\u2019s face has popped up in New Year\u2019s Eve images at the Mar-a-Lago festivities.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe reported Melania rules come on the heels of The New York Times article<\/a> that Barron is a fan of the Tate brothers, Andrew and Tristan, problematic influencers who are accused of sex trafficking crimes in Romania and the U.K. It\u2019s a headline that the First Lady probably wants to avoid with her son.<\/p>\n

\n\tBarron remains \u201cquiet, very reserved\u201d in political circles, Shuter\u2019s source noted, and he moved from NYU\u2019s New York City campus to their Washington, D.C. location \u201conly a few blocks from the White House,\u201d per a September 2025 People report<\/a>. It\u2019s just another way for Melania to \u201cwatch Barron constantly<\/a> in an effort to be sure nobody messes with him or bullies him, as this is a constant worry with her,\u201d a source explained. \u201cShe always knows where he is and what he\u2019s doing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThere\u2019s no confirmation if he will stay at the Washington, D.C. campus for the spring semester as he works to complete his Stern School of Business degree, but he seems to prefer life in his family\u2019s orbit. Even his classmates at NYU didn\u2019t know much about him after his freshman year. \u201cHe\u2019s sort of like an oddity on campus,\u201d Kaya Walker, the former president of NYU College Republicans, told Vanity Fair<\/a> in April 2025. \u201cHe goes to class, he goes home.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMelania wants to keep that mystery going a little bit longer \u2014 at least while Donald Trump is in the White House.<\/p>\n
