The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/a>\u2019 Kyle Richards<\/a> is offering the surprising reason her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky<\/a>, is so out and about during what he\u2019s called his \u201cera of being single<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kyle dished details on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show<\/a> following Season 15, Episode 2, which saw Kyle\u2019s reaction to the father of her children trading in his temporary condo for a secretly leased house<\/a> (as seen in the above clip). This factored into why she believed Mauricio\u2019s dating life has been fodder for the tabloids, from smooching other women at the airport<\/a> to hanging out with celebs on the slopes of Aspen<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, Mau goes out a lot, you know, and he actually said to me, \u2018I don\u2019t want to go home to an empty house; I don\u2019t want to go be by myself.\u2019 So, that\u2019s why he goes out more, which is understandable,\u201d Kyle told producers. \u201cJust the other day, I was like, \u2018My house is empty; I should go somewhere\u2019\u2026 even though I was tired, so I understand that part of him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Kyle found Mauricio\u2019s motives relatable, she admitted such adventures didn\u2019t fit her lifestyle, choosing to be \u201cdiscreet\u201d in her own dating journey.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t need to go to the hotspots,\u201d she said, adding that \u2014 unlike Mauricio \u2014 she tended to be a little more \u201caware\u201d of paparazzi angling to catch a headline-making photo.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s taken him a while to get used to that because he\u2019s not used to being followed by the paparazzi,\u201d Kyle continued. \u201cSo, that was new, since our separation, and he had to learn that they\u2019re actually watching and hiding.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat scared me the most about being separated at first was being alone. \u2018Am I going to be alone one day?\u2019 Or, \u2018As I get older, am I going to be all alone?\u2019” she revealed. “I like this feeling that I have right now, that I\u2019m no longer afraid of that. And there\u2019s a security in knowing just, like, if that happens, it happens.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mauricio has not revealed being in an official relationship, though he\u2019s been very open about dating<\/a>. “I’m alone. I’m single. I’m dating,\u201d he said in a Nov. 18 interview<\/a> with People. \u201cI guess that’s my era.\u201d<\/p>\n
